This workshop will present ‘Paths of Light’, a methodology for working with couples in crisis that has been tested for years in some European countries and in Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. This working methodology takes into consideration three areas: psychological, spiritual and autobiographical narratives. We think that for a couple, in a moment of crisis, it is of fundamental importance that both partners find or rediscover the meaning of their history and that they find a name for their wound as a couple; in order to understand its meaning within their history. The application of the psychodynamic TA methodology, sometimes integrated with other psychological theories, with the concepts of: okness, symbiosis, transactions, games, intimacy, script, transferential and countertransferential dynamics, etc. has proved to be very useful in promoting awareness and possibilities of change within residential workshops with couples from different cultures. In this workshop, the method will be described and participants will be given the opportunity to try out some of the exercises used in workshops with couples.
