With a workgroup of five dedicated professionals, (P)TSTA’s, psychologists, a psychiatrist, and a MD, we have a mission to acquire acknowledgement of TA Psychotherapy in the Netherlands.
We are working at two levels:
To get official recognition as a TA Psychotherapy Association under the umbrella of one of the acknowledged Psychotherapy Associations in the Netherlands.
To give accredited TA-courses at the regular Training Institutes for psychologists and other professionals in mental healthcare.
In this way we hope to give TA more entrance and a secure base in mental health care in the Netherlands.
In the workshop we want to exchange with professionals from other countries about questions like:
is TA acknowledged as method of psychotherapy in your country? If not:
what ways do you see to give TA psychotherapy a steadier place in mental health care in your country?
which steps can be taken in the future to ensure TA psychotherapy a place between other methods of psychotherapy in regular mental health care?
how can TA research in different countries help to achieve this mission? Which kind of research is needed?
