Intergenerational trauma is often the hidden yet powerful source of our limiting beliefs and destructive relationship patterns that effect individual Scripts and Collective scripting process (Noriega )
The legacy of war, forced migration, oppression, division and exclusion are shaping our daily choices . We remain prisoners of the unconscious behavioural patterns and beliefs we have inherited from our ancestors without knowing it going sometimes several generations back and stemming from dealing with anxiety fear and existential, treats
The traumatic experiences, however, did not take place in the lives of those who suffer from these conditions, but in the lives of their parents and grandparents. The effects of the original trauma manifest themselves in the lives of generations to come.
In this workshop we will look at ways of finding existential courage (Tillich) as well as developing potency to look at the events that were present in the collective unconsciousness
Methods of Systemic constellation (Ruppert, Welford, Hellinger ) offer the tools to work with the intergenerational oppression not only on individual level but within a group as a Community of Validating others ,Offering the source of courage and Strength acknowledging the imbalances of power ,Allowing for looking on the painful events with courage and making redecision
Examples of systemic trauma strategies will be discussed based on work of traumatologist Anngwyn St. Just, leading to understanding and claiming our personal power (Heid)in exercises, we will be experientially developing awareness of strengths and healthy alternatives to fear , leading to greater autonomy and taking of responsibility for the future .
