How can I and We be more than Us?
Authority and Empowerment with the Ecological and Transpersonal Thirds.
As traditional human authority structures seem to fail, posing threats to human and planetary lives, a question arises for me:
Do we choose something more?

In this workshop, we will reference thinking within and beyond Transactional Analysis. We will engage in an experiential and thoughtful process to extend our thinking on the structures of life.

Using Berne’s Authority Diagram (1966), we will explore the four levels of authority— Personal, Organizational, Historical, and Cultural.
We will challenge our thinking with the concepts of the ecological and transpersonal thirds and, with reference to current Co-creative philosophy, seek to create a fifth and sixth level—the Ecological and Transpersonal.

Some questions that may arise:

  • How do we resolve the personal and collective tension in our thinking on Autonomy and Homonomy?
  • How does contact with self, contact with others and contact with more-than-self, evolve with awareness?
  • How does this contact relate to our experience of support and challenge with the more-than-human?
