The legacy of Berne and his successors is rich and manifold. T.A. is a solid approach built on a triptych of theory, practice, and ethics, making it one of the major approaches in contemporary psychosociology.
For my part, as a Consultant and Teacher, I remember the Bernese maxim: “True knowledge is knowing how to act”.
My work in the social field, both in organizations and institutions, and also in the political arena, has led me to develop an analysis grid inspired by Aristotle, which I call MAP©.
During this workshop, working with the MAP©, we will learn how to identify the major tensions running through both individuals and groups, and work towards rebalancing them.
For our clients and ourselves, in line with the contract, the questions we will consider will be:
- How can we raise awareness of what we’ve inherited and what needs to be inventoried?
- How can we reinforce our legitimacy to act in the world?
- How can we develop an awareness of identity, knowing that identity is both a sense of what remains the same and an ongoing construction?
I’ll also be proposing a model of subsystems and inviting participants to identify their representation of their identity as transactional analysts.
During this workshop, I hope to stimulate our individual and collective capacities to leave a trace of our heritage in the world, by creating around us “bubbles of OKness” to facilitate the transitions underway in a lucid and humanist perspective.
