Our contemporary society consists of a gigantic mix of different people who are characterized by age, religion, gender, cultural origin, but also by differences in characters, level of education and fields of expertise. All these people have an innate need to social belonging, and this belonging results in the urge to connect and attach to organizations. These organizations with their own identity could benefit from this rich diversity that is able to stimulate creativity, multiple ideas, perspectives and influences. It is our assumption that organizations do not consciously or unconsciously invest in this rich diversity of people and are therefore doing themselves a disservice. In this workshop we explore, based on a number of questions and statements, the possibilities to open up organizations in order to gain access to a large group of high-quality employees.
