Many of us, and particularly the leaders of our own companies, seek legitimacy in what they do, and in what they have, rather than in what they are.
Our education, our culture, our environment calls on us more and more to perform, to increase, to accumulate goods and capital, to financial gains, to gains in functionality, … always more! Besides what do we see in organizations? Generational conflicts where the youngest do not want to experience what their parents experienced, a “big-quit”, increasing turnover (both among employees and managers), increasing absenteeism, etc.
My proposal is to give you the opportunity to find your intrinsic legitimacy, which is there well before having successfully completed your studies and having obtained a diploma which gives you the right to practice and not the legitimacy of being the title that you got.
I differentiate between extrinsic legitimacy, which is the accumulation of evidence like degrees or certificates, and intrinsic legitimacy which is the accumulation of life experiences that makes you powerful and naturally excellent without failing.
The objective of my workshop is to allow you to distinguish the difference between these two legitimacies, to discover when and how intrinsic legitimacy is born, how to develop and highlight it and perhaps to help you discover yours.
